Mike Fry |
Mike is trained as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). He is the author of multiple home improvement articles providing ways that seniors can make their homes accessible and safe. Through his columns, he addresses simple and cost-effective methods that seniors can use to tackle common household problems. Mike's goal is to help seniors stay in their homes as long as possible.
Mike completed multiple classes developed by NAHB and AARP. The courses are designed to help make homes meet the specific needs of seniors and maturing adults. Mike has over ten years experience in home renovations, construction and building materials supply and sales. Before starting Fry Access, he was the manager of RP Lumber for seven years in Champaign and Monticello, Illinois. He also served as the co-manager for 84 Lumber in Pennsylvania. He recently finished building his own home, which holds the Fry Access office, in Pesotum, IL.
He is a member of the Central Illinois Bass Fishing Club and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity. |

Julie Fry |
Julie has more than 10 years experience in business development, marketing, start-ups and home care. As one of the founders of Fry Access, Julie is responsible for all the day-to-day operations of the company.
She most recently worked as the director of marketing for the National Association of Home Care & Hospice in Washington, DC. While there, she was part of a team that helped ensure that seniors were able to receive care in their homes. She was responsible for communicating with the nation's 20,000+ home care and hospice market. In addition, she helped to plan NAHC's meetings and conferences including the largest yearly gather of home care and hospice providers and the industry's largest march on the U.S. Capital to advocate on behalf of senior's rights.
Julie holds a Bachelors of Arts from Penn State and a Masters in Business from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is a member of the Junior League of Champaign-Urbana and works with the Champaign Urbana Symphony Orchestra. |

Brian Beck |
Brian is a sub-contractor and partner with Fry Access. He brings with him over 20 years experience in all types of building and home remodeling. His company, Brian Beck Builders, has been serving the Champaign-Urbana area for more than 10 years. He has designed and built many projects for seniors including bathrooms, ramps and height-adjusted counters.
Brian is also trained by NAHB in home modifications for seniors.
